Despite the heavy rains and traffic, people still flocked to the Sky Dome of SM North EDSA last July 10 to witness the launching of Pupil’s “Wildlife: Special Edition” album. The event presented by Sony Music and SM North EDSA Sky Dome in cooperation with Coke Zero, Levi’s, Puma, Rayban and NU107 also served as the band’s fourth anniversary celebration and it was made complete with spectacular prizes courtesy of the album’s generous sponsors.

The group which includes Ely Buendia (vocals, guitars), Yan Yuzon (guitars), Dok Sergio (bass) and Wendell Garcia (drums) treated the fans to night of amazing rock music with songs like “Disconnection Notice,” “Here I Go Again,” “Matador,” “Sumasabay” “Talon” and their latest single “Different Worlds” which is included in “Wildlife: Special Edition.”

But the surprise and what the audience consider the most unforgettable part of the evening was when the band paid tribute to Michael Jackson, with drummer Wendell Garcia taking charge of the mic and Ely Buendia playing the acoustic guitar sitting on stage with their version of “Man In The Mirror.”

Those who attended the launch became the first ones to own copies of the album with all the stocks in the activity area sold out in one night.

The 2-disc “Wildlife: Special Edition” includes the massive hits like “Sala,” “Monobloc,” and “Teacher’s Pet.” What makes this more exciting are bonuses contents that are real bonuses: demo tracks, music videos and a 5-track live EP in addition to the original album.

The album is now out in CDs under Sony Music and is being presented in cooperation with Coke Zero, Levi’s, Puma, Rayban and NU107.
