Mr. FU, the star DJ of 103.5 WOW FM releases his new “WOW I LAHVEET!” album under Sony Music Philippines.
“This is definitely a bigger and better collection,” Mr. Fu admits, “and my original song entitled “Wow Megano’n?!” sounds really current and hi-tech.”

This new collection boasts of a rare assembly of stars and hits like Lea Salonga’s “If You’re Not Here By My Side,” Sharon Cuneta & Ogie Alcasid’s new version of “Nandito Ako,” the rare recordings of Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo’s “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song” and KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez’s “When I Met You” with Joey de Leon’s “Itaktak Mo” and Francis M‘s “Kaleidoscope World.” It also carries Mr. Fu’s favorites “The Last Time I Felt Like This” by Ariel Rivera and Joanna Ampil, Agot Isidro’s “How Can I Be Sure,” and of course, Aljur Abrenica’s “Beauty and Madness.” Also part of this special collection are Sony’s new band hits “Gusto Ko Lang Ng Girlfriend” by Eevee and “Baliw” by Kiss Jane.

“Sulit talaga…all hits para sa mga WOWits!” exclaimed Mr. Fu, “I thank God for all these blessings that came my way this 2010.  Undeniably, aside from this album, Mr. Fu has been blessed with very good television exposure this year —which includes hosting stints in “Wow, Megano’n?! with Joey de Leon,” “Party On 5” and very recently, he was launched as a segment host of the trailblaizing showbiz talkshow “Paparazzi” on TV5 and is very bankable in events and corporate hostings.

“This album is a good memento of a good year: full of struggles yet full of happiness and triumphs. I dedicate this to my dad who is guiding me now from above,” punctuated Mr. Fu — to which we say, “Megano’n?!” Well deserved successes, Mr. Fu!


Tomorrow’s gonna be a big day for Joanna Ampil as she holds her “West End Girl” concert at Onstage, Greenbelt with guest FilharmoniKa with Gerard Salonga and Ariel Rivera. Aside from the concert, it was also revealed in one of the articles below that Joanna recently shot a scene with American actress Anne Hathaway for the movie ‘One Day’ ~ wow, that is something we should look forward to!

Together with today’s most in-demand orchestra, FILharmoniKA with Gerard Salonga, and special guest artist, Ariel Rivera, Joanna Ampil will be serenading the audience with music which has her dubbed as “the West End Girl,” having performed in lead roles in London’s West End for seventeen years.
Joanna Ampil auditioned at the age of 17 for Miss Saigon and went directly to London for her first professional theater appearance. Since then Miss Ampil has opened Miss Saigon in Sydney, Australia. She has continued her stellar theater debut with performances as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Fantine and Eponine in Les Miserables, Mimi on Rent and many others on the West End stage. She has performed for the Queen during a special Le Miz production at the Windsor Castle. Joanna has since returned to the Philippines for the role of Maria in West Side Story.

She has also released a pop album “Try Love” under Sony Music which features her renditions of timeless songs such as The Carpenters’ “I’m Caught Between Goodbye and I Love You”, “I Don’t Have The Heart” by James Ingram and the latest single “The Last Time I Felt Like This”, her duet with Ariel Rivera.

Joanna Ampil has also been invited to perform in concerts in Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong. This will be Joanna Ampil’s first concert in Manila this year.
