American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta conquered Manila last year with his back-to-back concert with David Cook. Now, he is set to return to the country to delight his fans as he promotes his sophomore album “The Other Side Of Down.”

His showcase will be held at the SM City North EDSA Skydome this Nov. 17 at 6pm. Buy his latest album “The Other Side of Down” at the venue to have your CDs signed by David himself. It features the hits “Something ‘Bout Love” and “Elevator.”

Not only the follow up to David’s 2008 self-titled debut, it’s a reintroduction to the American Idol runner-up with the angelic voice who 30 million television viewers fell in love with during season 7—now older, wiser, with faith still on his side and an eternally optimistic wide-eyed outlook. Hence, the album’s title.

“For me, it’s about moving forward and making progress,” David explains. “I’m heading towards ‘the other side of down,’ which is ‘up.’”

David Archuleta’s “The Other Side of Down” Manila Promo Tour is presented by SM Supermalls, SM North EDSA, Sony Music, MYX, ASAP Live, The Peninsula Manila, Magic 89.9 and RX 93.1. See you this Sunday!

The beginning of 2010 seemed to be a good time for Callalily to start with a bang. Like their previous singles, “Nananaginip,” off their self-titled third album peaked at #1 on MYX and continues to stay on the top 5. Vocalist Kean Cipriano also had a successful stint as one of the judges of the hit morning show “Showtime.”

“I’m thankful to all our fans for making our single #1. I’m also happy that a lot of viewers supported me during my stint as a judge on Showtime,” Kean said.

As a gratitude for their supporters they call “Callalistas,” Callalily will hold their Grand Fans Day on Sunday, February 28, 5pm at SM North EDSA Entertainment Plaza. This event presented by Sony Music Entertainment will have Kean and his co-members Alden Acosta (guitars), Tatsi Jamnague (rhythm guitars), Aaron Ricafrente (bass) and Lemuel Balaro (drums) get up close and personal with the fans. Expect an afternoon of surprises as the band dishes out songs from their past albums and their current album. Just bring a copy of their album or buy their album at the venue to gain entry to the event.
