Twelve-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys releases latest opus “The Element of Freedom” which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums and Digital Albums charts and #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart. With a total of 417,277 units sold in a week, this marks the biggest first week sales debut for a female R&B singer this year and Keys’ 5th straight chart-topping debut (Keys’ previous four albums debuted at #1 on the aforementioned charts).

“The Element of Freedom” features the singles “Doesn’t Mean Anything” and “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.” The Element of Freedom also includes Keys soulfully soaring solo version of “Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down,” a beat-driven duet with Beyoncé on “Put It In A Love Song,” “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)” with background vocals provided by Drake, the reggae-tinged “Love is My Disease,” a 80’s funk jam “This Bed” and more sonic gems. Beyonce ft. Lady Gaga “Video Phone”

Beyonce teams up with Lady Gaga for the extended remix of “Video Phone”. The high-energy, visually stunning clip is Lady Gaga’s first collaboration and was directed by Hype Williams. Also check out in stores now, Beyonce’s latest release “I AM…YOURS. An Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas” DVD and Live 2CD. It features over 30 songs plus over 15 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Alicia Keys “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart”

The beautiful video of Alicia Keys’ new single “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” was directed by Syndrome (Estelle’s “American Boy”, Eminem’s “3AM”). The video’s concept is of a superwoman of sorts, who has a gift to revive others, to bring life back to others, but it’s also a curse as she cannot do this for those in her own life. Jennifer Lopez “Fresh Out The Oven” featuring Pitbull

Jennifer returns hot as ever with a new music video for “Fresh Out The Oven”. It features J.Lo as LoLa in various 5 to 10-sec. spots directed by Jonas Akerlund who also directs for Madonna, P!nk, and Lady GaGa. Her new album which will be release next year will also include “Louboutins,” the track that Jennifer recently performed at the American Music Awards.

Adam Lambert “For Your Entertainment”

The video is directed by Ray Kay and was premiered this week on Adam’s official website. “For Your Entainment” is the title track of Adam’s newly released debut album.

Pitbull Feat. Akon “Shut It Down”

You love “Hotel Room Service” and “Calle Ocho” now get ready for “Shut It Down”! The video was shot by David Rousseau and Alex Sduocos in Pitbull’s hometown of Miami, Florida and features Akon. Check out the behind the scenes footage HERE and watch the full video below.

Allison Iraheta “Friday I’ll Be Over U”

This is the first single from Allison’s debut album “Just Like You”. Allison was introduced via American Idol where she was the 4th place finisher, and the youngest contestant ever to place inside the Top 12. ‘Friday I’ll Be Over U’ is a rockin’, all-out girl anthem with Allison’s fresh and in-your-face vocals set atop crunchy guitars and new wave keyboard riffs. Alicia Keys was recently invited at New York University to offer her words of advice to NYU students about songwriting and working hard to make it in the business. The Element of Freedom: Lecture and Performance Series was held at the NYU Skirball Theater last October 21st where she also performed her hit songs such as ”You Don’t Know My Name,” “Empire State of Mind,” and her latest single “Doesn’t Mean Anything.”
